W610 Physical Overview — Owned Device¶
Evidence type¶
Firsthand observation of the project-owned W610 specimen received in August 2026.
Overall construction¶
The glasses use an asymmetrical temple design. The right temple is visibly thicker and contains the electronics, controls, indicator, battery, and charging-related hardware. The left temple is comparatively slim and conventional.
Controls and indicators¶
- Two physical buttons are located on the right temple.
- The rear button functions as the power control.
- A small status LED is located near the right hinge.
- Holding the power button produces an audible startup tone and a brief LED flash.
- The device advertises over Bluetooth as
HeyCyan Glasses.
Fit and comfort¶
- The frame is tight on the owner, who has a larger head.
- The glasses are usable for short research sessions but are not comfortable enough for confident all-day wear on this head size.
- The fit observation is subjective and should not be generalized to all users without measurements from additional wearers.
Lens and optical impression¶
- The supplied tinted sunglass lenses do not appear to fit the frame especially well.
- The optical experience is below that of quality sunglasses and is not the reason to purchase this platform.
- The current specimen is better treated as a low-cost research device than as premium everyday eyewear.
Mission assessment¶
At approximately USD $40, the specimen succeeds as an inexpensive, sacrificial investigation platform. The tight fit and mediocre optics are significant for buyers seeking daily eyewear, but they do not materially reduce its value for BLE, firmware, hardware, app, and supply-chain research.

- Weight on a calibrated scale
- Close photographs of hinges, buttons, LED, charging contacts, camera, microphones, and speaker openings
- Fit comparison across multiple head sizes
